The Firm represents a number of community associations in matters related to their respective obligations and disputes.
We also handle a wide range of residential and commercial transactional real estate matters for purchasers, sellers, developers, lenders and real estate brokerages. When disputes arise, the Firm’s litigation attorneys are available to step in to provide a comprehensive solution for real estate clients.
With respect to our community associations practice, our attorneys represent condominium associations, homeowners associations, housing cooperatives and individuals in matters related to governance, interpretation of governing documents, revisions to Bylaws, Declarations and Rules, and foreclosures. ADH keeps its community associations clients apprised of legal trends, changes in the law, and “best practices” with respect to community association living.
We are a “Business Partner” with the Community Associations Institute (CAI) — an advocacy and trade association made up of property managers, community associations, law firms and other service providers. Cary Devorsetz, who manages this practice area, is active with the CAI’s DC Legislative Action Committee.
