ADH Negotiates $330,000 Settlement for ADH Client in National Origin Discrimination Case

In July of 2019, ADH Member Les Alderman won an appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit for Sunday Iyoha, on Mr. Iyoha’s national origin discrimination claim against the Architect of the Capitol. The Client was rejected for a promotion by managers who had previously discriminated against him and others who spoke with foreign accents. After successfully winning the appeal, Mr. Alderman secured a favorable settlement from the Architect, which included, among other things, a promotion for Mr. Iyoha and a total payment of $330,000.
